Professor John blackFrom 1968, Professor John Black’s research has covered the multi-disciplinary areas of land use, transport and the social, health, economic and environmental aspects of infrastructure and operations (www.civeng.unsw.edu.au).

  • Airport noise and community health and well-being.
  • Economic impacts of airports.
  • Sustainable decision-making frameworks for airport – CBD rail links.
  • Container transport.
  • Integrated transport corridor planning and management and development of Sharing the Main Street Guidelines.
  • Sustainable indicators for urban transport and land use and travel behavioural change.
